BISE Rawalpindi Board provides educational facilities to applicants of Rawalpindi region studying at secondary and higher secondary level. The board started functioning in 1977 and for the first time conduction of exams was made in 1978. It has many affiliated areas and these are Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Rawalpindi itself. The supervision of the board is the responsibility of Ministry of education. The organization of workshops and seminars to train the teachers is also made annually. These refresher courses enable the teachers to have awareness about latest techniques and methodologies that can enhance the student’s knowledge and develops interpersonal skills.
